Felimoda Self Balancing Electric Hoverboards with LED Light and Carrying Case Review

A couple of years ago, the world was introduced to the technological craze known as the hoverboard, after a year, the craze died down and these two-wheeled gadgets seemed to fade into the background to make way for the best electric skateboard models that are popular nowadays. However, if you want to find out what all the fuss was about, you still can with the Felimoda Self Balancing Hoverboard.

Features and Specifications

Motor and Battery

Although the Felimoda Self Balancing Hoverboard is primarily a kids’ toy, it does pack a punch thanks to its dual 300-watt motors. These motors are installed inside the hubs of the wheels.

The motors are strong enough to carry loads up to 264 pounds at speeds up to 9 miles per hour. Now, you might think that 9 miles per hour is quite slow compared to electric skateboards that have a single motor, like the Maxfind MAX C Electric Skateboard, however hoverboards are not really designed for going fast, they’re just for coasting around leisurely.

The battery, when fully-charged, can power the board continuously for around three hours or so; the range of which is around 10 miles, give or take a couple of miles. To charge the battery fully, you need to use the included wall charger and leave it plugged for several hours and the battery will be full.

Body and the Wheels

The Felimoda Self Balancing Hoverboard has an aluminum chassis encased in hard plastic. The top of the board has two rubberized pads that provide excellent grip so you will not accidentally slide off the deck.

The wheels are made of solid rubber, meaning they will not deflate nor will they explode on you.

At the sides of the wheels are LED lights that will flash different preset patterns while the hoverboard is moving. There are also two LED “headlights” at the front so you can somewhat see what is in front of you when you are riding it in low light conditions (which is something that you should never ever do).

You can also choose from many different colors and designs. There are solid colors with contrasting trims, and then there are some wild designs, like the graffiti, which gives the board a bit of an attitude.

The Good

Fun for the whole family

This is not just for kids, even their parents can have some fun riding the Felimoda Self Balancing Hoverboard thanks to its 264-pound maximum load limit, which is similar to that of the VOKUL V1 Electric Skateboard Cruiser. So even if you are a bit overweight, you can still scoot here and there using the hoverboard.

Comes in different eye-catching designs

What’s your favorite color? Red? Blue? Whatever it might be there will be a Felimoda Self Balancing Hoverboard for you. There are even two unique designs, the pink camouflage, and the graffiti.

Aside from the bright colors, this hoverboard is also covered in bright LED lights of different colors. There are RGB lights in the wheels, on top of the fender, in between the footpads, and in front of the board. All of these lights make them eye-catching and exciting for kids, which is why this is the perfect gift (just be sure to provide a helmet and elbow and knee pads).

There are so many reasons why you should get one of these for yourself, or for your kids, so why don’t you buy one right now?

The Bad

The plastic body can crack easily

You need to be careful not to drop this hoverboard. Although the internals will be fine, the exterior plastic case will get banged up quite seriously. However, if the case does get dinged up and cracked, the board will still perform as advertised.

It is a bit heavy

If you are planning on taking it with you to the park, don’t think that you can just carry it under your arm like you would a regular skateboard. This hoverboard is made of metal, and the batteries that it uses are quite dense and heavy. It does help that it comes with a carrying case though, but not by much. The teamgee H9 37″ Electric Skateboard is a whole lot lighter, but it is not really meant for use by young kids.

Who is it For?

The Felimoda Self Balancing Hoverboard is actually for everybody, young or old. As long as you want to learn how to ride the hoverboard, and if you are coordinated and have a good sense of balance, then there’s no reason why you wouldn’t want to get this for you and your family.

Who says the days of the hoverboard are long gone? As long as there are people who still want to have fun and as long as they have a sense of adventure, toys like the hoverboard will never go out of style.

The Felimoda Self Balancing Hoverboard is unlike the ones that came before it (namely the ones whose batteries caught on fire), this one has all of the necessary safety features that makes it more suitable for the use of kids. So, if you are still up to the challenge, go on and get a Felimoda Self Balancing Hoverboard right now.
